Day 1.
Tanah Lot. It is a sunset beach. it’s a HUGE mistake if you visit it in the morning. However, it has big waves, rocks, Pura, and great view..
You cannot get onto the Pura above the rock. It’s opened for death ceremony only..
There’s a tasteless well under the Pura. It’s believed if you wash your face, you’ll get future spouse easily.. :))
Another unique spot is the Holy Snake (Ular Suci). There’s a myth behind this Holy Snake. I didn’t get clear information from the keeper as I’m too afraid to get close with snakes..
Tanjung Benoa. It’s a beach with so many water sports. You can play Banana Boat, Parasailing, Doughnut, and Diving. There’s also service to go across to an island called Pulau Penyu (Turtle Island). It’s a place for the conservation of turtle. It also breeds some birds, snakes, bats, …
Dreamland Beach. Wow.. The only word to describe this beach. Not many people come to this beach. It has blue sky, blueish-greenish water, whitish-yellowish sands, and of course… there are many topless visitors.. :))
Garuda Wisnu Kencana. The soon-to-be tallest statue in the world. It’s still under construction. It’s a depiction of Wisnu riding on Garuda. It’s located above a hill, and at some parts are very interesting to see. You can walk between some high rock cliffs. Some performances can be seen at the spot.
Kuta Beach. It’s a sunset beach. Many people come to sit around and watch the sun sets. Some others are playing in the water. Outside the beach area, you can find many shops selling local products as gifts, and also some international restaurants.
Day 2.
Cening Bagus. It’s a complete shopping place selling cheap and no-bargain products. The shop sells local food and beverages, such as dodol made of fruits, kacang disco, arabica/torabica coffee, and liquid brem.
The shop also sells clothes, carved woods, handicraft, and of course.. all have distinctive characteristic of Bali..
Silver Handicraft. Those who love silver jewelries should visit this spot. It sells silver handicrafts with reasonably price. The jewelries vary from rings, necklace, bracelet, brooch, etc. The design is not that interesting..
Kintamani. Having a lunch with a mountainous and lake view. The air is chilling. Some local people are selling clothes, key chains, and fruits in the way which is very disturbing as they insist us to buy the products. Ignoring is the only way to make them get far from us. Once you look like interested with the products, they will follow wherever you go..
Krisna. Shoppaholic may like this place. It’s just like Cening Bagus, but Krisna has better products and cheaper prices. Krisna produces their own clothes (T-shirts and Batik). The quality of the fabrics are ranged from the lowest to the highest. The designs are not common as well. It’s recommended.. :))
Sanur Beach. This one is famous as the beach to carry away the ashes of the deaths. Balinese cremate the dead body as it’s their traditional customs. The place to strew the ashes is BEACH. So, no swimming or playing in Sanur Beach.
Kecak Dance. It’s worth to see. The dance is about Rama & Shinta story. The show can be watched in the morning and evening. Wide theater and well circulated area.
Day 3.
Sangeh. Monkeeeyyy… Not that much interesting.. Oya, I’m from Kalimantan, so monkey is something common to see. Ya, it’s a place for monkeys, get yourself some nuts and snacks for the monkeys. But be careful, some monkeys can be very wild and harm you. Another interesting spot in Sangeh is the Lanang Wadon Tree. It represents the male and female genitals. On the way out, you pass shops selling local handicrafts. Bargain is needed here.. :))
Bedugul. Another “WOW” view from Bali. Ya, it’s a lake on the mountainous area. Have a lunch with the view of the lake and the mountains surround it. The air is chilly and so fresh.. You can rent a boat to get to the other side of the lake. There are Pura above the water. Nice view..
Joger. Hmmm… The original brand for local products. It’s a shopping place selling clothes, sandals, key chains, bags, and many more. It is famous with its funny lines on each product. No bargain and the price is reasonable..
